Part 1 of Our Vacation - Views from the Cape May - Lewes Ferry . . .

All aboard!!!  A three hour drive to Cape May, NJ and then a 90 minute trip across the ocean from New
Jersey to Delaware.  I highly recommend this adventure if you're ever visiting the area.  It saves two hours of driving time.  The breeze from the deck is so wonderful on a hot day.  Most of all, the views are so pretty.  And, if you're lucky, you may even spot some dolphins.  We saw a couple of them pop their heads up for a split second but not long enough to catch a photo.

The view as you're leaving the port.

These spots on my camera lens are making me crazy!!!  I know I have to have them cleaned but they are going to want my camera for 4 to 5 weeks and the thought of being without it is unbearable.  Lol!!  Maybe over the winter when I don't take as many photos.

How I envy these birds!!!  : )
These two!!!  BFF's for life!!!!!
A tanker that we passed.
The other ferry heading back to NJ from Delaware.
Almost in Delaware!!!
This beautiful girl with her one dimple!!!  : )

 Next stop . . .  Maryland!!!

Home Sweet Home on a {Mostly} Wordless Wednesday . . .

We just got back from one of the most wonderful vacations I've ever been on!!  We visited Maryland, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.  A twelve day whirlwind of a vacation with lots of photo taking.  A photographer's dream!!!  I thought I'd share just a few of my favorites from the first leg of our trip.  Most of these were taken in North Carolina with a few thrown in from Maryland and our trip on the Cape May - Lewes Ferry that took us from Cape May, New Jersey over to Delaware.  It's a wonderful 90 minute ferry ride that saves two hours of driving time and gets you out of your car.  This is a good thing when you have a six year old with you.  : )  Although, I have to say, other then her incessant talking, she was was pretty darn good!!!

Looking forward to sharing our adventure with y'all!!!  Picked up a little southern drawl these last couple of weeks!!  : )

On a different note, I can't sign off without mentioning the horrific shootings of our police these last couple of weeks.  Please pray for our police, their families and our country.  We certainly need all the prayers we can get.

Many blessings ~ Wendy

Simply Ten on a Wordless Wednesday . . .

Over at Soulemama , Amanda Soule's wonderful blog, she posted ten simple photos of things that inspired her today and told us all to "give it a go" if we felt inspired to do the same. So, without further ado, here are my ten simple photos that were taken over the summer while visiting my favorite little antiques shop in Cape May, New Jersey.

Some Pictures to Brighten Up a Cloudy Sunday . . .

I took so many pictures during my recent trip to my favorite antique shop in Cape May, New Jersey that I thought I'd share some more with you on this cloudy day in New York. I hope these add a few rays of sunshine to your Sunday. : )

These were all in a display case which is why there's a glare. I couldn't resist taking pictures of them. How glamorous are they?!!?

I remember my Grandmother giving me several of these lovely vintage ladies when I was very young only they were a little bit smaller. I have no idea what happened to them. I had them on my dresser and I would look at them all the time. I remember one had dangling pearl earrings. I hadn't thought about them in a long time until I saw these. Don't you just love when something triggers a fond memory that had been tucked away for a long time?

I fell in love with this vintage cupboard and would've taken it home with me in a minute until I realized that I'd have to pick one of the kids to leave on the side of the road to fit it in my car. The guilt of giving up a son for this would've made it very difficult to enjoy it!! : )

Who can resist pink poodles . . .

and mermaids?!!?

And, last but not least, these pretty little vintage buttons. These had to come home with me!!
I hope these pictures added a few rays of sunshine to your Sunday. : )
Many blessings ~ Wendy
