Country Living Holiday Fair Part II . . .

It's a snowy day here in New York.  We're expecting anywhere from six to ten inches of it!!  Perfect day for tree trimming and cookie baking and dinner in the crockpot!!  Everyone is still asleep here so I thought I'd share some more of the photos I took at the Country Living Fair that I attended last weekend.

I fell in love with this one!!!!  Gorgeous!!!!

Anything that is vintage and pink is for certain going to catch my eye!!!!  : )

This vendor had such beautiful things for sale.  A great combination of both vintage and handmade.  I ended up purchasing a few of her items including a handmade ornament for Megan.
I'm so in love with these vintage Santa mugs.  If I can find them at a decent price for about 10 of them, I'm going to splurge.  I think drinking coffee out of them on Christmas morning or after Christmas dinner with guests would be such a great thing to do!!

Vintage wrapping paper!!!!!!!

Lots of pretty handmade things at this booth.  I loved the little cupcake under the cloche on the far right.

So that about does it for my photos.  If you ever get the chance to visit one of Country Living Magazine's fairs, don't hesitate.  Totally worth the trip!!!  I have photos that I took of the grounds that the fair was held on that I want to share next.  It was absolutely beautiful!!!  : )

The "Country Living" Holiday Fair . . .

This weekend, my beautiful friend Suzanne and I attended the "Country Living Holiday Fair" in Tarrytown, NY.  It was held on the grounds of the gorgeous Lyndhurst Castle in heated tents that were magically transformed into a Christmas Wonderland!!

The vendors did such a wonderful job with their displays and you truly didn't know where to look first.  Suzanne is one of the only people I know who loves country decor as much as I do but, fortunately, we didn't have to fight each other for anything.  There was enough to go around!!!  : )

I was so tempted to buy this wreath for my front door but it wasn't in my budget this time around.  I did get their business card so maybe I'll pay a visit to their on-line shop after the holidays!!  : )

One of my favorite goodies of the day!!!!  I love the starfish in the window!!

A lot of vendors were selling holiday/Christmas things but there was an equal number of non-holiday as well.  I loved the above grunge look lamp shade.  And look at the vintage wallpaper in the background!!!

LOVED the tee shirt on the right!!!!!!!
Vintage cowboy boots.
Lots of eye candy!!!

This vintage Air Stream trailer was just one of three (I think) that this company, Stash Style, had at the show.  You walked inside and they were set up like little vintage shops filled with all sorts of treasures.  Really wonderful!!
A vintage bike outside one of the Air Streams.
This beautiful wreath was made with all vintage ornaments that the shop owner has collected thru the years.  I loved the angel that sits in the middle.

Suzanne and I went a little crazy at this booth.  The shop owner's husband hand paints everything and she and her daughter add all of the glittery touches.

I have lots more photos to share of both inside the tents and the grounds that this gorgeous castle stands on.  Until then, have a beautiful day.  It's cold and rainy here in New York with a chance of snow tomorrow.  'tis the season!!!!  : )

Many blessings for a wonderful day ~ Wendy

Ready or Not Here They Come . . .

I've honestly been trying to block any thoughts of the impending holidays but the reality is that they're just around the corner ~ ready or not. Last nite, we were able to all sit down for a nice Sunday dinner. Since son #1 has gotten older and now has his license this has become more and more of a rare occasion. I'm sure the fact that I was cooking roast beef, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy had a lot to do with him being here. Whatever works!! : ) I took the opportunity to tell them that they had to start making their Christmas lists. Jim and I are going to start doing a little shopping at a time so I don't turn into a crazy woman mid-December when nothing has been done yet. Son #3 still believes in Santa which makes it fun. Son #2 told me last nite that he wishes he still believed because that made Christmas much more exciting then knowing it is your parents that set up all the gifts under the tree. I told him that there is a part of me that will ALWAYS believe there's a Santa and he got a gleem in his beautiful eyes. I think I had just given him permission to feel the same way and that made me very happy. : )

When I was playing around on the computer this morning I found some wonderful pictures of my version of a Country Christmas. Most of these photos came from Country Living magazine, either here in the States or abroad. I hope you enjoy them!!

I just love how Christmas isn't about just red and green anymore. Aqua and white are so pretty and peaceful which is how our holidays should feel.

Isn't this railing so, so pretty? I love how the greens pool at the bottom of the stairs. Everything flows so beautifully.

I loved this adorable country Christmas card holder. It doesn't hold very many cards but I would use it for my extra special ones that I hold onto year after year. I'm always on the lookout for a pretty card holder and have found several nice ones over the years. Currently, I'm using a vintage looking basket that has an old advertisement on the front for Better Homes & Gardens. I think I found it in Target a couple of years ago.

A pretty little Advent calendar that you can
make yourself.

What little girl (or grown up little girl) wouldn't love this fairy stocking?!!?

I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Many blessings ~ Wendy
