These Moments . . .

. . . last days of swimming before the pool is closed for the season.

 . . . first days of second grade.

 . . . learning a new sport.

 . . . shipping out all of my Etsy shop orders.  Don't judge me.  LOL!!!  : )

On a more serious note, our beautiful state of Florida is bracing for what may possibly be the worst hurricane EVER to hit their state.  I have many friends and family members that live there.  Please take a moment to say a prayer for all of the residents that they may be safe.  Please say a prayer for all of the first responders, pets and wildlife as well.  The potential damage is being described as catastrophic.

Floods, hurricanes, fires, earthquakes.  Do you think the powers that be are trying to tell us something??  : (

These {Random} Summer Moments in Georgia . . .

 

The third leg of our trip was Georgia.  We were there for three nights.  We are huge The Walking Dead fans and it was my dream to go and see where the show was filmed.  All of the photos here were taken in Senoia, Georgia where a good portion of the show is filmed.  I took a ton of photos at the filming locations but I wanted to share some of the random ones that I took.  It was a very hot southern day but we didn't care.  That's coming from a girl who HATES the heat!!!  I was in photography heaven to say the least!!!

I hope you all have a great weekend.  We have some friends coming over for a bbq and swimming tomorrow.  I feel like the summer is winding down already.  Next week is the last week of camp for Miss Megan which means it's only three weeks until the start of school after that.  Which means I have to dig out the school supply list.  Which means I have to go thru the huge pile of papers staring at me from the kitchen counter top.  Yuck.

{These Moments} in North Carolina . . .

It just dawned on me that today is Thursday.  Not Friday!!  I usually save "moments" posts for Friday but I'm too far into this to delete it now and I know I won't have time to post tomorrow because  I'll be driving into Manhattan to take Jakhai home.  Where did this month go????  "Back to School" commercials have been on for the last week or so and Cracker Barrel has Halloween decorations for sale which I find to be such a tease because then I get all excited for fall and you step out of the store and it's 95 degrees and humid out still.  I was so tempted to buy some of them though.  I'll definitely be paying them a visit in the next month or two!!  Couldn't you just go crazy in a Cracker Barrel gift shop??  I'm not so thrilled with their food.  God knows I've tried to be but I'm just not.  Their gift shops are a whole other story all together though!!!  I'm not even sure if they have them in other parts of the country.  We're getting them in dribs and drabs in New York but there's one on almost every corner the further south you go.  Have you ever been to one?

My dryer just finished turning.  On to the next load!!!  : )

These {Summertime} Moments . . .

We attended our first "Music at the Gazebo" the other night.  Lots of fun for all and a bit of a class reunion for Miss Megan.  She was in her glory for sure!!!  We're getting ready for a busy few days coming up with a birthday party tomorrow and two bbq's in two days.  Jakhai (our "adopted" son) arrives on Sunday for the month of July and Tuesday we leave for our road trip.  We'll be gone for two weeks so I'll be shutting down the blog then but posting on Instagram.  We'll be heading to Ocean City, Maryland, Surf City, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.  More details next time!!  : )
