My Creative Juices are Finally Flowing Again . . .

My friend Kim told me that when a woman is finished having babies she needs to "create" in other ways. For the last couple of years, when I thought I was certainly finished having babies, I've been doing lots of creating. Handmade cards, gift tags, altered art projects, painted wood pieces and opening up two Etsy shops are some of the ways that I've been creating. Since finding out in September that we're expecting a baby, my creative juices have all but dried up. The only cards I've made have been custom orders from Etsy customers. I haven't listed any items in my shops, other then relisting expired items, either. I have been staring at all of this wonderful Christmas paper that I found last year. Lots of ideas swirling around in my head but no motivation to bring them into fruition. Lots of gorgeous Christmas goodies to list in my shops but no drive to put them there.

My beautiful Melissa Frances holiday pretties were still sitting in the box that they came in a couple of months ago. I did manage to list some of the mica flakes when I first received them and they have since sold. Come to think of it, I think those were my last listings since finding out I'm expecting.

Yesterday morning I woke up feeling more awake and energetic than I've felt in far too long. I'm officially finished with my first trimester. That, coupled with all of the absolutely gorgeous creations I've been seeing on all of my favorite blogs, has lit a much needed fire under my butt. It's not much but it's a start.

I finally used some of the holiday papers I've been staring at and made a couple of Christmas cards that will all be for sale in my Etsy shop, here . I've also finally unpacked the Melissa Frances box and have uncovered these gorgeous bottle brush trees and silver tinsel that will also be listed in my shop. It sure feels good to be back. : )

Many blessings ~ Wendy

I have been trying to add more pictures but, for some reason, I'm unable to move the pictures around so I'll just have to settle for one of my cards for now. : )

It's amazing how much better everything feels when that first trimester fog lifts! Glad you are safely into the middle stretch, the time when the baby books say you glow! Enjoy your regained creativity!

Welcome back to world of creating. I am glad you are feeling better. I must say I get into those times where I just can't bring my ideas into reality as well (and I am not even pregnant) HMMMM I wonder what my problem is (hahahah) I love that paper you created your card from. Is it Daisy D's? I don't remember ever seeing that paper. I look forward to seeing your other projects :) Have a great week

I agree with Gina! After the first 12 weeks,we all wake up out of a fog, don't we?!
You'll have another boost at about 20 weeks.
Oh this is so exciting,Wendy!
Bless you,Honey~

You'll get back in the swing of things, I'm sure. Can't wait to see what all you are and will be making!
