Outside and Inside . . .

Outside . . .

Tree buds that weren't there a couple of days ago.

Nests being renovated.

Lavender that smells oh-so-yummy.

Still some daylight after 5:00.

 Inside . . .

Blue and brown speckled eggs.

Vintage millinery.

Handmade Easter cards.

The windows are open again today after having to close them and turn the heat back on yesterday.  As much as I love the winter and all that comes with it (yes, even the cold and snow!!),  once I get a taste of those warmer days with the fresh air coming thru the house and better light for photo taking, I turn a corner and no longer long to be snowed in with the fireplace going.  Living in New York, this is not a very good thing.  For the last few years, March has been coming in like a lamb and going out like a lion more often than not.  In other words, we're not putting away the snow boots and firewood just yet.  In my studio though, I'm definitely thinking SPRING!!  I've been busy making some Easter cards and listing some other "springy" things in my Etsy shop.  It feels so good to be creating again!!  : )

Hoping you're having a beautiful day!!

You have got some lovely signs of spring, I know what you mean about March though, it can be tricky! Those blue eggs are really lovely. I love flinging open the windows and letting a blast of air into the place, changing the energy in the house, enlivening it. Not sure my husband agrees though. He follows me around, closing them.

I've always loved winter, but these past few years when I've been a bit more interested in gardening, I like spring just as much. Our windows are still closed and the furnace still on too.

We have had a really mild Winter so signs of Spring have been all around for some time. Impressive cards.

As we say in these parts...'never cast a clout 'till the May is out' meaning don't take off your extra layers until the may blossom flowers. x

I'm lucky that both my husband and love the cold. The kids are the ones that complain here. 😀

Coming from such a wonderful crafter, I take that as a very big compliment! xo

I'm going to have to start looking closely, for leaf buds. :-)

But you are farther south and will have them sooner, than I.

Mud season is beginning, but winter is not over. :-)

An old saying around here was; "Spring snow is the poor man's manure." -grin- It doesn't seem possible, so maybe, it was just a saying, to make people feel better, about morrrrrre snnnnnnow.

Happy March!

You sure are in spring mode! It's nice to see the seasons change. There's something about spring that seems to make us all feel hopeful!
