I've Got the "No Internet" Blues . . .

Or should I say I HAD the "no internet" blues. You don't realize how attached to the internet you are until you don't have it for a while.

I was online last nite, playing an innocent game of Scrabble. If you haven't yet discovered Scrabble on the internet I don't know if I would recommend it or tell you to stay away. It's highly addictive!! I try to limit it to when I'm doing laundry because it seems to make the time of each load seem to go so much faster. I'll also play when I've read every blog, every email, checked my Etsy shops and done everything else I normally do online but don't feel like getting up from the computer yet. This is usually done when son #1 has been on for a long time and, out of spite, I want to do the same. Not very mature, is it? : )

So I was playing Scrabble and suddenly my computer just froze. No matter what I tried to do to get it going again (to be honest it wasn't much because I'm not very computer savvy!!) it wouldn't budge. I turned it off and figured it needed a break. My husband's laptop wouldn't let him get on the internet at all last nite but he assumed it was just a problem with his computer. I woke up this morning to put the finishing touches on the blog I had started for today and it wouldn't let me on the internet still.

For the next two and a half hours (no exaggeration) I was on the phone with five different people that were all troubleshooting my problem and none of them were able to come up with what was wrong. At one point, I was told that for $129.00 I could have my computer wiped out to where it was when we first purchased it. I told the man I would have to talk about that one with my husband. Long story short, we finally figured out it was a bad router. I would've paid all that money to wipe out my computer for nothing. Needless to say, I am back online, thankfully. It's very scary to me that my husband figured out the problem but the people who are paid to do this type of work didn't.

Thank you for listening to me vent. I feel much better now!! : )

Tomorrow, I'll be spending the day at a huge craft fair in New Paltz, NY. It's supposed to be a gorgeous day and I'm going to take lots of pictures!!

Many blessings ~ Wendy

I feel for you!

There is nothing more frustrating than not knowing how to fix your computer. Luckily my husband is a computer programmer so I just call out to him for help!
