Can You Stand Just One More Post of Pumpkins and Corn Stalks?!!? . . .

We were finally able to make it to one of our favorite road-side places for pumpkins and other autumnal (one of my favorite words!!) splendories. Of course son #1 wanted to stay home and play xBox Live with his friends rather then go with us. This makes me a little sad because it's always been a fun tradition to pick our pumpkins as a family but he's almost 17 so I understand. Next year, God willing, we'll have our new little pumpkin to take with us and share our traditions with. Out with the old, in with the new!!! HA HA!! Don't tell #1 son I said that, please!! : )

So the four of us ventured to Auntie El's. It's a wonderful place that's been in business for many, many years. They have lots of really fun displays this year. Lots of wood cutouts that make for great photo ops.

I thought this covered wagon was so pretty.

If you enlarge this photo, you can see son #3 in the background on the right. I had no idea he was in the photo until I was editing my pics. He's the eternal ham!! : )

After we picked out our pumpkins, we ventured over to the little vintage sale they had set up. They used to have a small out building that housed some antiques and other assorted goodies but this time they had lots of stuff set up in front. I thought it was a good idea. Just like being at a yard sale.

These vintage bottles were my favorite offerings. There was also a pair of old ice skates and a pair of old bowling shoes that caught my eye. I have my ice skates from when I was a child that I hang out front every winter. People always seem to love the idea of hanging the skates. I love it because it's such a country way of decorating for the holidays.

Next, we ventured into the gift shop/bakery/grocery part of Auntie El's. What a feast for the eyes and the nose!! I'll let the pictures do the talking. : )

I had to take a picture of this pumpkin!! Go Yankees!!!!!

Auntie El's has the most outrageous assortment of old-time candies.

Something for everyone!!

Of course, I had to take a picture of this card. I love their faces. They kind of remind me of the Campbell's Soup kids.

Son #3 made a new friend when we were there!! : )

I hope everyone has a very safe and very Happy Halloween!!

Many blessings ~ Wendy

God I just love these pumpkins places, I love that its a day out for the family to pick the pumpkins instead of over here where we go to the supermarket and buy them at a huge cost. Great photos. Best wishes.

Oh, I hate when the kids start getting too "old" for family stuff. I just sent my first one off to college.
Great pictures!!!
