We Don't Need No Stinkin' Stink Bugs!!! . . .

These wonderful (NOT) little bugs are invading our neck of the woods here in New York. They almost look prehistoric. I don't think they fly and I have no idea where they even came from originally. But the most exciting thing about these little buggers is that, if you squish them, they stink to the high heavens and make the whole room stink!!

After taking his picture, I waited for him to walk down my dining room wall and then carefully scooped him up with a paper towel. Next, I carefully walked up the stairs and into the bathroom and FLUSHED HIM DOWN THE BOWL!!!! No muss and no fuss and, most of all, NO STINK!!

BLAH!!!!

Many blessings ~ Wendy

I remember these as a kid in Ireland. The bigger kids would take the thorn off a rose and try to dare a younger unsuspecting kid to push it through one of these little bugs. The result was a dreadful stink and no-one would play with the kid who had had the prank played on them. Delightful memories you have re-awoken Wendy!!!

I have heard about this skunk in bug disguise - good to see a pic of one so I can keep an eye out...

Great to see your blog - Jen @ Nyack Backyard told me about it. Sound like we are in the same area. Also like your Etsy site!
