Springtime Through My Lens . . .

What a beautiful spring it's been so far here in New York!!  The temperature has been a little on the cool side and there's been minimal rain the last couple of weeks.  Even without a whole lot of "April showers" there is an abundance of "May flowers" and the air is filled with their sweet fragrance.  Today, I cut some lilacs off of our tree in the side yard and my whole house smells like them.  We also started to map out where our new vegetable garden is going to go and tomorrow my oldest son is supposed to finally put the till he borrowed from his grandfather to use.  We are a family of procrastinators but I think this has actually worked a bit in our favor this spring.  The temperature was down into the 30's the other night and several people that we know lost some of their plants to frostbite.  In our part of New York (20 miles north of Manhattan) the safest bet for no more frost is said to be after Mother's Day so as far as I'm concerned, we're right on time!!  : )

Many blessings for a happy Monday ~ Wendy

Lovely photos! It sounds like you have planned your veggie garden for the perfect time. Make sure you get to relax and enjoy Mother's Day this weekend. It is Mother's Day here in Australia on the same day so I shall be thinking of all my international "mother" friends and hoping everyone is having a wonderful weekend.
