A Lovely Day for a Memorial Parade . . .

Colin and Megan waiting for the parade to start.

Megan's friends spotting her on the sidelines.

My handsome Veteran.  : )

Yesterday we joined new friends to watch the little Memorial Day parade that Cornwall on Hudson has every year.   It was very short but very sweet and the kids had a blast waving to their friends that were marching.  It's days like these that make Jim and I love our new town even more.

This week starts the march to the end of the school year and making plans for the summer.  We have a few things on the calendar that I'm pretty excited about.  Mostly though, we'll be staying close to home and enjoying our backyard.  My son Brendan told me the other morning that he feels like we're staying at a beach house and that we'll have to go back to our "real" house soon.  We really hit the jackpot when we found this house.  The pool is pretty much the cherry on top of the sundae.  Unfortunately, we're still waiting to be able to swim in it because of some technical issues but Jim is getting it closer to perfect every day.  I'll keep you posted!!  : )

Many blessings for a happy and peaceful week ahead ~ Wendy

Hooray for a lovely parade!
What a handsome veteran!
Always feel a bit misty eyed and thankful remembering all our service people -
and those we have lost.

Your pool will bring endless hours of delight
and great to have somewhere for the kiddies to invite their friends over to enjoy!
Cheers.
