A Snow Day . . .

The Christmas mantel is finally and officially dismantled.  I took advantage of this snow day that was declared today due to a nor'easter blowing through town last night and gifting us with several inches of ice and snow.

When there's snow outside our chocolate lab wants to go in and out every hour on the hour.  He is like a little kid when it comes to playing in the snow.  He rolls in it.  He eats it.  He pounces on it.  He runs around the yard like he's a puppy again.  He just turned 11 in October.  It's so much fun to watch him having so much fun but I have to admit it's a pain in the butt when you're trying to get things done and he's sitting there barking at you to go out yet again.

As I stood in the backyard watching Brady (Sparky our cockapoo slept this one out) not one but two beautiful bald eagles soared over our house.  I screamed for my son to get my camera.

They were flying so high up and it was difficult to get a good photo so these are a bit over edited.  I have goosebumps just looking at these photos again.  Amazing Grace!!  Needless to say, I apologized to Brady for getting so pissy with him about going in and out so much.  : )

Wishing you a happy rest of your week!!

Wendy how sweet. My daughter's Lab loves the snow too and wants to be in and out constantly after it snows. I think it is a lab thing!!! Wow you captured those bald eagles so beautifully. What a beautiful sight to capture.

How lovely to see his snout all covered in snow, he really does look to be enjoying himself. What an amazing photo to capture those eagles, a wondrous sight. Take care.

There's nothing like a good old-fashioned snow day! (We had a snow minute here a few nights ago.)
