Wedding Day Part I . . .

Ahhhhhhh . . . the sound of rain outside my window. One of my most favorite sounds. I can't believe it's Friday already. It's been a busy week except for yesterday. I had no motivation to do anything yesterday other then a couple loads of laundry and then made dinner last nite. I actually went back to bed after the kids went to school and woke up when Jim told me that my chiropractor friend, Cheryl, was on the phone and was coming over in half an hour to make a housecall. Nothings beats a chiropractor that makes housecalls. I've been having a lot of lower back pain this past week and my doctor thinks it's muscular so Cheryl gives a great massage before she adjusts me. She's coming back this morning because my back is so tight that it hardly moved for her. I think it's partly from the shoes I wore on my wedding day. They had a pretty high heel and I'm not used to that kind of heel. They were very comfortable and my feet felt fine in them. Just my back was screaming by the end of the night!!

My wedding day was wonderful and beautiful and everything that I had hoped it would be. My oldest and dearest friend, Susan, performed the ceremony. Her words were just incredible. She mentioned that she and I have been friends since we were six years old and doesn't remember any kind of fight or disagreement between us thru the years and we truly never have. She has never judged me, even thru my crazy teenage years and early twenties. She has always been the most mature and trustworthy person I know. When I was out smoking pot and hanging out until all hours, she was laying the foundation for her wonderful business that she's had for years and years now. I was her guinea pig in high school when she was taking cosmetology at BOCES. I've had every hair color, cut and style imagineable!! I love when people play with my hair so she could've shaved me bald and I wouldn't have cared. Susan is my own personal version of Martha Stewart. I always tease her and tell her how inadequate she makes me feel. Actually she really does!! I say that in a most loving way!!!!! She made our wedding very special. She surprised Jim and I by making gorgeous invitations for us. I was just going to make phone calls but she wanted to make it more special. She also made the beautiful programs that I didn't even get to see until the next day after the wedding. She made the room at Casa del Mare just beautiful. I love you with all of my heart and then some, Susan. No one could ask for a more wonderful friend. You are a remarkable woman and I am honored to call you my friend. XOXOXO

I'll continue this later but right now I have to get my little guy off to school.

Many blessings ~ Wendy
