Photo-a-day Challenge . . .

I'm currently in my third month of being a part of  Fatmumslim 's photo a day challenge and am still loving it!!  I have to admit that I haven't been posting every single day but I quickly catch up which is, unfortunately, not something that I normally do.  I am the epitome of a procrastinator and have self-diagnosed A.D.D. and that is not a good combination.  : )  However, if I enjoy what I'm doing, that helps immensely.

I thought I'd share some of my favorite photos of the challenges so far . . .

Signs . . .

Today's photo-a-day challenge (found at Fat Mum Slim) is to post a photo of a sign.  When we went to Lancaster, PA in April, I took a couple of photos of signs that caught my eye.

First there was this one . . .

This was a one room school house that Amish children attend in the part of town where we took our buggy ride. 

Next was this one . . .

We were so tempted to have our buggy driver pull over for some homemade root beer!!  I think if it was just a little bit warmer out that day we would've done it!!  : )

I ended up going with this one . . .

You just gotta take a picture of a road called "Smucker Lane,"  don'tcha??

I wasn't sure if this counts as a sign otherwise I might have gone with this one . . .

Now I'm off to peek at what tomorrow's photo is!!  Can you tell I'm loving this Challenge??  : )

Monday, Rainy Monday . . .

After a mostly gorgeous weekend, it's now a rainy Monday.  Truth be told, I absolutely love the rain.  I think I've mentioned that here on at least several occasions!! 

Megan was sick and sleep was intermittent but she seems to be feeling better.  Yesterday morning, I awoke to her looking at me while raising her eyebrows up and down saying "Hubba Hubba."  I can't begin to tell you how hard I laughed!!  It definitely made up for at least some of the sleep I was deprived of!! 

Sand in the hair + Stains on the shirt = A Very Good Day!!

a photo a day . . .

Yesterday, I discovered a fantastic blog called Fat Mum Slim .  Chantelle is the blog's author.  For the last couple of months she's hosted a "photoaday" challenge.  Each day, for the month of June, she's listed a topic for a photo for that day.  If you click onto her website you'll see the list of topics for each day and instructions on how to participate. I'll be posting my photos here, on Pinterest and on Flickr where my member name is ctb003. 

I've always wanted to participate in something like this and she has some great topics for the month.  Don't worry that it's already the second day of the month.  I'm just starting today, myself.  You're not being graded on this.  Just have fun with it!! 

My photo for June 1st that I just took today is of this morning's breakfast ~ homemade banana bread and DD coffee.
